Holly was born with a story in her head waiting to get out, and not much has changed since. She spent the bulk of her childhood buried in books—that is, when she wasn’t writing her own. Her earliest professional writing credit came at age thirteen when she co-wrote scripts for a weekly local access realtor show. She’s adamant that this sounds a lot cooler than it actually was.
Though she had enough self-awareness to realize that few authors can claim they write for a living, Holly was determined to make telling stories a part of her vocation. In 2008, Holly graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s in English and an emphasis in Creative Writing. She released her first book, Firsts, in 2009, and joined Samhain Publishing as an acquiring developmental editor in 2012, where she remained until the company closed in 2016. She has been freelance editing ever since, and her authors keep her very busy.

In addition to the novels she’s published, Holly has written an ungodly amount of Spuffy (Buffy/Spike) fanfiction, and honestly, that is her first love. She is also a founder and current administrator of Elysian Fields Spuffy Fanwork Archive.
Holly lives in Missouri with her husband, with whom she shares many wacky adventures (most of which take place at Alamo Drafthouse), as well as the two best dogs in the world, Luna and Oz. Above all, Holly loves losing herself in vast, fictional worlds, so she makes a point to do so whenever she can. After all, the alternative is dealing with the real world and no one wants to do that, as the real world sucks donkey dick.
